About the Firm

Rooted in Every Corner of Georgia

Georgia is home to 159 counties, from Atlanta's core to the smallest towns in rural Georgia. The name is a commitment: wherever you're rooted in the state, we're built to serve you there.

Georgia 159, LLC is a family-owned CPA firm founded by Scott and Alejandra Castro — a husband-and-wife team, and parents, who built the practice from the ground up together.

Scott, a licensed CPA, brings nearly a decade of experience spanning individual tax preparation to ongoing monthly financial reporting for growing businesses. Alejandra leads client relations and day-to-day operations, keeping every engagement running smoothly.

We're a new take on the traditional CPA firm — modern in how we communicate, report, and collaborate — but grounded in the same conceptual rigor that's always defined good accounting. No shortcuts on the fundamentals.

Every engagement is personally reviewed by a licensed CPA, whether you're filing a personal return or closing your books every month.

Meet the Founders

Built on Discipline, Not Shortcuts

Scott Castro, CPA, founded Georgia 159, LLC after nearly a decade building his craft in public accounting — starting his career in audit at an international professional services firm, then advancing through progressively senior accounting roles in corporate real estate.

He earned his Bachelor's in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, and his Master of Accountancy from Georgia Southern University. Raised in rural Georgia, he learned early that precision and follow-through aren't optional — a standard he's carried through every role since, from public accounting to corporate real estate to founding his own firm.

Questions

What People Ask Us

Straight answers, before you ever pick up the phone.

You're a newer firm — why should I trust you with my taxes?

Fair question. Scott is a licensed Georgia CPA with nearly a decade of experience in public accounting and corporate real estate before founding Georgia 159, LLC — this isn't his first tax season. What's new is the firm, not the expertise behind it. We're also upfront about pricing and licensing right on this site, rather than asking you to take it on faith.

Do you only work with clients near Mableton?

No — we work with individuals and businesses across all of Georgia. Most engagements happen by phone, email, and secure document sharing, with in-person meetings available by appointment.

I'm behind on filing — can you help?

Yes. Catching up on back tax filings is common, and we can help you assess where things stand, get current, and put a plan in place going forward.

Do you handle multi-state returns?

Yes, we prepare multi-state individual and business returns when your situation calls for it.

What's the difference between working with a CPA and using a tax prep chain?

A CPA is a licensed professional held to state board and continuing education standards, and can represent you before the IRS if needed. At Georgia 159, LLC, your return is prepared and reviewed by the same licensed CPA every time — not whoever's available that day.
